Today i added the finishing touches to my commercial. I tried to spice it up as best as I can. It’s not a 5 star commercial or even a 4 star commercial but I tried my best. For my first time doing a commercial it was really fun. Every step of the way was something different. It made doing this commercial much more interesting. After finish editing I talked to my friends about their commercials. They all had different ideas. Also their process was way different but we all have a commercial. It was fun to see their ideas and hear the story’s if their commercial problems. I faced many minor challenges. Planning, recording, and editing; had stumps in them. I did’t expect everything to go as planned. That made it easier to cope with the little problems I faced. I liked that everything was organized, and set properly for each day, giving enough time to get it done. I would do another commercial on my own time. Just for the fun of doing a commercial. I would even make one for my friends if they asked. After doing all that, it would be easier the second time around to film and edit. The more you do it the more it would be easier to get done, but I don’t see myself or anyone asking to make them a commercial.

Getting it done

  When filming it took a little longer that we anticipated. We had to do a lot of retakes to get the right shot and angle.we did a lot of negotiating and talking. The actors that we had planned, unfortunately could not be able to film in time with us. So we had to get last minute actors, they really came to the rescue. After we found our address, we did a lot of talking then walking, which I counted as a exercise. The film was very last minute, and it was kind of rushed. One of our actors wanted to quit mid way of the filming. The actor felt disrespected. We filmed on the bus, and there were a lot of people also on the bus, it was loud, hot and very bumpy. We pushed through and kept hustling. There was a limited amount of space and time but we got it done. At the time we just wanted to get as much film as possible. R&B Vs. Pop

We actually didn’t know what song to do for a while and it was starting to worry me. Nothing school appropriate and also interesting to me came to mind. We brushed it off for a while and still came back with a blank mind.  After countless hours of video watching, dancing, water breaks, getting into character and “turn that down” We finally found the perfect song for my music video. We  decided to go a little new school,  they wear costumes like baggy pants, long shirts, long chains shades and more. They use props like speakers, fancy cars, party props and more.  Their appearance is usually hip and r&b adding to the overall music video. The score through the music videos are medium to slow paced sounds, meant to make the viewer feel what they are portraying. Whether that’s heartbreak, sadness, happiness and more.  1.
