Horrer

The camera angles in the horror genre include tracking, panning shot, dutch tilt, eye level, and birds-eye view or overhead shot. The suspense builds up as you don't know what will be shown next, creating an unsettling feeling within the viewer, adding to the genre of horror. Some common editing in this genre are suspense, under exposure, quick cuts and trade mark editing techniques.
Some common sounds in this genre are diegetic and non diegetic sounds. Some example films are Chucky, It, Us, and scream. An element of this genre that I like and would use is the use of diegetic and non diegetic sound. An element of this genre that does not appeal to me is how some film makers don’t try and jump scare the audience and keep them engaged. I would try to stay away from too much gore and the overuse of voiceovers.
