Romance
The camera angles in the genre of a romance are usually medium shots, close up shots, eye level, and two or three shots. Some common editing in this genre are split screens, and fade aways. Some common sounds in this genre are voice overs, non diegetic sounds in order to create an atmosphere for the audience. Some example films are Titanic, Love & Basketball, and Love don’t cost a thing. An element of this genre that I like are medium shots and close up shots so that the audience can really feel what’s going on. An element I would use from this romance genre is the sound and music going hand and hand to really have the audience involved.
An element that does not appeal to me is when there a little bit too much kissing, I feel as if the film should not be too intimate, it should be family friendly.
