Behind the curtains

During the break we were unable to record. That was our chance to get ahead of the game and return back to school with nothing to do. However, we didn't take that path and we wanted to just relax and sleep in. We wanted to rest well and leave all the stress of school behind, so that we could jump back into it with a clear mindset coming from the break. It took a while for us to get everything together, avoiding discomfort when we meet. It was hard in the beginning getting everything together, learning each other schedules and more. Getting the right actors and finding the right place to record. I’m more of a get it done and out the way person but the situation presented itself as “wait”. It’s understandable we’re on break so we should take a break. Working with others reminded me about patience.   Today’s editing was a little delayed I had to do take care of something before starting to edit.I looked for easy editing apps without watermarks. Most of the apps that include their watermark pay for it to be removed. I won’t be paying for that when there are million other apps excluding it. Especially if the program is already hard to use. I downloaded multiple editing apps. I wanted to see which was the best and which app was easier to use. After minutes of searching and reading reviews. I found one a pretty good app. It had easy functions and gave a tutorial of how to do it. When I found the right one it was pretty easy to edit. However at first getting the right transitions correct was hard. I had to make sure everything flowed. I had to redo the transitions and make sure there were clean. I had to make sure everything was understandable. I had my friend review my work multiple times. She was kind of getting tired of me saying “how does it look.” She gave me her honest opini...

Lesson Learned

  Although it was fun working with my crew mates, for the next project I will be working by myself. I have nothing against my teammates but when I work with others that means I have to comply with everyone’s work ethic. I like to get my work done as soon as possible. When working with others it seemed as if a lot of things were put off to the side and left for the last minute. I’m not a last minute type of worker so it really felt unsettling. I didn’t wanna keep bringing it up and annoying the rest of my partners. So to avoid all of that I’ll just work by myself. There were pros in working with others and there were also cons. Scheduling is a prime example because not everyone was available at the same time. Getting everything done efficiently and effectively. There was a small lack in communication when pertaining to the work. There was a lot of procrastination and it’s hurting us, when doing the project.
